"Carinya Transitional Program & Watershed Day Program"

About: Lives Lived Well – Carinya Transition House (Wollongong) Lives Lived Well – Watershed Residential Service (Wollongong)

(as the patient),

Will be celebrating 11 months in recovery. This is the first time  will have ever achieved this amount of time in 20 years. I realised I needed to go to Watershed Residential as my black outs were getting consistently out of control, having a blood alcohol level of 3.2 at 10am in the morning I realised I needed more support and re-accessed Watershed Day Program & IDAS and begin my new journey into recovery.

After completing Watershed Residential, I knew I was not ready to return back home, so I decided to challenge myself and put my big boy pants on and go to Carinya Transitional program and attend Watershed Day Program. The journey so far has been challenging yet rewarding. Staff, other service and community/family have been supportive of my journey.

Dear saillife67,

Firstly congratulations on 11 months abstinent! It is a huge achievement and you should be proud of yourself.

It is great to hear how much Watershed Residential helped you reach your goals, but just as importantly how your own actions to transition into additional support cemented your objectives.

Keep up the good work and reach out if you need extra support.

Kind regards,

Lara
