When I caught covid I was terrified because I have a lot of serious health conditions and had been told I was in real danger of serious disease or death.
When a nurse from the Covid Community Care Team contacted me for the first time, I was so relieved. They took all my details, sent the Covid app to my phone immediately and within hours an oximeter was delivered to my home. I had to report my vitals and answer questions twice daily and my details were monitored by the team. If my vitals weren’t up to scratch I received a phone call from them within 20minutes.
They made sure I had everything I needed to manage covid at home.
I am so grateful to them, I’m almost recovered and was “set free” on the 7th day. Although at the time of writing this I'm still suffering from covid, I know I’ve been through the worst.
These health clinicians who spoke with me were kind, they were informed and very helpful. I can’t thank them enough. For people like myself it’s a great relief to know this support is there.
Thanks to all those who helped me. I will always be grateful.
