(as the patient),

I was surprised that the Covid Testing staff were seemingly unaware of the new criteria for PCR testing. I was initially told that I was ineligible. I had already looked at the BCH website and knew I was eligible on at least 3 criteria.

Dear swingsr87,

I am so sorry that you had this experience. It is true that the guidelines are regularly changing and I know that they are being interpreted a little differently across the state. From my perspective, we should just get people tested if they turn up!

I'm sorry if this didn't happen and I will chat to our Pathology provider and to the testing staff (some of whom are new) to make sure that access is not an issue going forward and that we are interpreting the guidance pretty liberally.
