"Residential experience"

Before I entered the Wunya Residence for alcohol abuse, I wasn't sure what to expect. I'd heard and seen the negative stigma/stereotypes about rehab in the movies and from old institutionalised models of rehab and care.

Wunya and, Janelle as my treatment facilitator, has been a revelation with regard to my recovery. The 6 weeks of holistic treatment for addiction have been individualised, educational and practical in terms of strategies, as well as safe and supportive across the board. A great facility with a great team helped me recover so that I can be re-entered the world as the best version of myself. With the support and safeguards in place from their team, I feel any lapse or re-lapse happening is minimised. I wanted to stress how incredible I found the work that is being done there is.

Learning to let go of trauma, understand how my brain works and really heal from a self-compassionate perspective. Helping us unlearn destructive mental conditioning and re-learn self-care and compassion has transformed my life and my relationship with drugs and alcohol.
