"Covid symptoms"

About: Cobram Campus / Urgent Care

(as a parent/guardian),

Took my unwell child who has covid symptoms but rat testing negative to Cobram hospital (because can't see a dr until PCR test done but can't do PCR test until the following day) waiting in waiting room for 15 mins then get asked to leave and sit outside in a tent, in the freezing cold wind and wait to be seen by a nurse... Then told nothing they can do for my child as they have no temperature. Told to go home keep my child inside and warm, keep fluids up and bring them back the next day for PCR test but if they get a temp of 37.8 bring them back...

To say I was upset is an understatement... it seemed to me you kicked us out into the cold when I believe my child's got a bad cold/flu or possibly covid! Very disappointed!

Dear redrx67,

Thank you for your feedback. I am sorry to hear about your experience at NCN Health and apologise for any distress caused.

The use of the outside shelter had been introduced to support limited space in our Urgent Care Centre, and to support the management of respiratory infections. The use of this area is also based on temperatures outside being appropriate, which it sounds like was not the case on that day, and again I am sorry for your experience. I have provided your feedback to our health care team, and I thank you for raising this concern.

Kind regards
