(as the patient),

I gave birth to my son via planned C section in July.

After a very long and traumatic birth with my daughter ( back on the East Coast 2.5 years ago) , this experience couldn't have been more opposite.

The whole process was so calm and smooth and my husband and I felt really comfortable, informed and in good care with everyone in the process .

The doctors &  midwives - special mention to Adriane, Jim & Bonnita & the anaesthetist (sorry I can't remember her name) you were honestly just brilliant. The highlight for me was asking if I would like the sheet dropped to see my son being birthed. I cant tell you how incredible this was and that moment will stay with me forever.

We could not fault the care afterwards - every midwife we saw on the maternity ward for the few days following were so incredibly helpful, from advice to making bottles, letting me rest, making me laugh, having a chat and ensuring I was recovering okay- I feel you are all so wonderful and I can't tell you how much this positive birth experience meant for me after what I went through with my daughter. 

A huge thank you to all of you. You are amazing at what you do.
