A number of recent visits to the Box hill Hospital have been quite concerning to me, I believe the security are very intimidating and respond with massive overkill, I watched 1 officer seem to tackle a person who tried to walk past them, in another incident I recall they sent 3 officers to surround a patient with mobility difficulties to apparently try to intimidate them into wearing a face shield (I believe no code was called for this incident). It seems to me they completely ignore people when they state they have what I believe to be lawful reasons and exemptions for masks. Instead, I feel they stand inside people's personal space and use intimidating poses and number to get compliance.
I felt I was harassed as I was trying to get the lift to the carpark in order to leave. The officer stood inside my personal space, refused to turn their body cam on. And seemingly threatened us with a physical response If we didn't comply with their directions to wear a mask, they threatened to have us removed by force when thought we were on our way to the car park to leave. In my opinion, it's absolutely ludicrous.
These guys are supposed to be here for public safety. Every call I have made has fallen on deaf ears. I try to speak to a senior staff member and get told every time I call, no matter what day or time, that they are in a meeting and they don't have a voicemail. I feel this is becoming a joke.
