"Care with MGP, induction and PPH"

About: King Edward Memorial Hospital / Maternity

(as the patient),

The care I received at KEMH from Mel, Paula, the midwives in MGP4, doctors and staff has been second to none. I highly encourage any woman birthing at KEMH to go through MGP.

My primary midwife Mel was amazing at answering any questions or concerns whenever I had them and was such a great advocate for myself during the birth. I felt it is so reassuring having a direct point of contact during pregnancy, especially as a first time mum and being so unsure of many things.

During my birth I haemorrhaged and the staff were amazing at handling this. Their prompt action and confidence made me feel very safe. I was glad to be in such great hands.

The midwives and doctors in ASCU were wonderful. The care I received during my time in here was 10/10.

I cannot recommend KEMH and the midwifery group program enough and will absolutely be going through KEMH and hopefully MGP again with any future pregnancies!

Dear inspireht59,

Thank you for taking the time to share your recent experience with the King Edward Memorial Hospital (KEMH).

I am so pleased to hear that throughout your birthing experience with the Midwifery Group Program (MGP) you felt reassured, listened to, supported and safe. At KEMH we strive to ensure every patient experience is positive and I am delighted to know that the care you received from our team left you feeling in good hands.

We are proud of our team at Women and Newborn Health Service (WNHS) and their commitment to ensuring high quality, patient centred care. I will pass on your kind words and gratitude to Mel, Paula, the midwives in MGP4, the staff in ASCU and wider service team.

Thank you for taking the time to share this experience with me.

Your sincerely,
