"Respite for my father"

Tallwoods was a great choice for our family when we needed to place my father in respite care while mum had major back surgery. We recognised that a place for respite for five weeks, during a Covid wave, would be difficult and challenging to find. However, Tallwoods had a vacancy and was a great choice.

From the first phone call enquiry I felt sure this would be a suitable place. The receptionist was helpful, kind and welcoming and amazingly always remembered who I was. This attitude and attention to detail was evident in everyone we had contact with. The nursing staff looked after Dad kindly and showed interest in him as a person. Having a dedicated staff member to work with the patient’s welfare was a great service and helped Dad to settle in. The centre is quite small which helps it to feel very personal. Dad also enjoyed having the same staff attend to him on each shift as they got to know him and his needs. We would recommend Tallwoods as a great choice for Aged Care.
