"Maternal Child Health Nurse"

About: Maternal and Child Health Nursing

(as a parent/guardian),

Recently we were really struggling with my little 2 month old, he was vomiting so much and was really uncomfortable with reflux, after many GP's turning me away and making me feel like I was stupid I turned to my maternal child health nurse Hayley and she supported me and put me in the right direction and made me feel like I wasn't stupid. Many emails and calls and nothing was too big for her to find out for me. Most amazing experience I feel we are so lucky to have Hayley as our MCHN.

Dear woodpeckerfc75,

Oh what lovely feedback about Hayley - she will be really thrilled to read this.

Thank you for taking the time to post your experience and you have perfectly embodied the expertise and compassion of Maternal and Child Health nurses who know that every family's experience is different and important, and that there is no such thing as stupid as we undertake our parenting roles.

About 23 years ago, my daughter was 3 months old and she also had severe reflux and I also felt like I had no idea what I was doing - until my MCH nurse supported me. Changed my whole experience. These nurses are amazing and BCH is so lucky to have some of the absolute best:)

Best wishes and much happiness to you and your family.

Jan
