"End of life care"

About: Busselton Health Campus / Hospice Care

(as a relative),

I would like to say thank you so much to the hospice team at Busselton Health Campus. A relative of mine went through the courageous choice of voluntary assisted dying, some time back now, and I feel that I would like to acknowledge the care and support that we received as a family. Particular thanks need to go to Dr. Steve and to Ruth, they were amazing in helping us through a really difficult time. Ruth was extraordinarily kind to us, very supportive and guided us through the process of voluntary assisted dying, which was a completely new experience for us.

There are many wonderful staff in the hospice that we would also like to thank. We would like the team to know that their compassion was outstanding, and the care second to none.

Thank you chassiszx55 for your lovely words.

Ruth and Steve are both very compassionate and dedicated staff and I an happy they were able to support you in such an unsettled time. I will pass on your comments to all staff involved in your relative's journey. Voluntary assisted dying is such a brave decision for all involved. I am very glad that the team were able to be there for you.

Kind regards,

Heather Thomson
