My friend from Queensland broke her arm in Kununurra and was transferred by RFDS to RPH. She had no contacts in Perth besides myself. Allied service staff were supporting her post operation. The standout staff member in my opinion was Nerissai social worker, who spoke with me to understand my friend's situation and medical background which was complex. Nerissai worked with allied team and kept my friend and myself informed of treatments. I believe Nerissai took ownership of this case as I felt my friend's needs were met and she was discharged quickly.

Thank you for taking the time to let us know of the positive experience both you and your friend experienced with Royal Perth Hospital’s Social Work Department, and in particular, with Nerissai.

Providing patients with support is something all staff strive for and it is very pleasing to hear Nerissai was able to assist when it was needed. Knowing that Nerissai was able to keep your friend well informed throughout their patient journey and was able to meet their needs is always wonderful to hear.

I will ensure this lovely feedback is provided to the social work team and Nerissai who I know will be pleased to hear their high quality, patient centred delivery of service has been provided.
