I was immediately admitted, and asked to describe my situation. The Sister on duty-Courtney, listened carefully, made sure I was comfortable, then took blood for a sample, and carried out an ECG. Another Sister, Megan, dropped in to make sure I was OK.
I remained there for 6 hours, but started feeling much better after about an hour. A second blood test indicated I had not suffered a heart attack, so that is when I was driven home.
My doctor happened to be on call for part of the day and visited me twice. My wife sat with me for a good deal of my stay.
The hospital kitchen staff looked after me well, giving my cups of tea, lunch, and afternoon tea.
It was good that I did go to the hospital as my blood pressure did drop, as did my pulse rate for quite a number of hours.
"I was admitted to Emergency during an extended angina attack"
