I was in hospital emergency for one day recently with the covid. They were lovely there. They were so kind and considerate and did everything they could to make you feel comfortable.

My husband and I are in our 80s and thought might get through then all of a sudden we both came down with it. I sort of didn’t know what to do actually, so I rang up and from then on they were just wonderful.

The nurses rang every day, morning or afternoon, they never missed. It made such a difference. I told them what sort of a relief it is to be talking to somebody. You catch covid then what do you do from there? It is very distressing, especially when you get older. It was so good to be able to ask someone questions when you haven’t got a clue what you should be doing.

I should have written all their names down but I know there was Vanessa, Bronwyn and I think a Leah.

I couldn’t speak highly enough about all of them that looked after me at Prince of Wales and want them to know that we appreciate them all.

Thank you for taking the time to write to us and share your experience with the Covid Management Centre (CMC) team. We are sorry to hear that yourself and your husband became unwell with COVID and we hope that you are continuing to recover following your illness.

We will ensure that your great acknowledgement and kind words of thanks for the care that they delivered to you is passed on to the CMC team. It is so pleasing to read that our CMC were able to help and support you during this very difficult health journey. We are happy to read that our daily monitoring service was so responsive to you and your husbands care needs. It is wonderful to hear that Vanessa, Bronwyn and Leah were so kind and helpful to you during your illness.
