"Kind, helpful and respectful staff"

About: Swan Hill District Hospital / Sub-Acute Services

(as a relative),

My dad, who is in his 80s, recently had a stroke. He was so fortunate to be able to access the most amazing services for his Rehabilitation right here in Swan Hill. He was so pleased that he didn't have to go away to further his recovery. And we were in a position to visit him every day. The staff we have seen in Sub-Acute have been nothing less than amazing. They have been so kind, so helpful and so respectful to my father at all times. I am so thankful that we have such a wonderful centre here in Swan Hill to support stroke patients.

Dear chassisjx66,

Can I thank you for taking the time to post about your fathers care and experience on his recent healthcare journey. The very kind words that you used to describe your fathers experience describe the care and I am so pleased that the staff have been so caring and understanding. I know that Di has shared with the team your comments and we are all so proud of the Subacute (provides Rehabilitation, Geriatric evaluation, Transitional Care, and inpatient palliative care within the one unit) care that is provided by a multidisciplinary team. For a relatively new service (only just over 3 years old) this unit is providing an amazing service to our community.

Kind Regards,

Chloe
