"Pregnancy scare"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite, Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit, Wards 3B, 3C, 3D, 3DO, Visiting Midwife Service Fiona Stanley Hospital / Day Medicine Procedures, Day Stay & Short Stay Fiona Stanley Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had sharp pains in my uterus, 16 weeks pregnant. I was petrified, the staff at Fiona Stanley hospital took such incredible care of the me, they were patient, kind, understanding and gentle through the scariest time of my life. It turned out to be a tumour on my uterus & I had surgery, baby and me survived. But I just wanted to say thank you to all the staff involved in my care from triage to ambulance officers to short stay ward nurses, surgeons and gynaecologists who looked after me. They made me and my partner feel safe. Hands down the best treatment I could have received.

Dear branbk47,

Thank you very much for taking the time to share your story. It sounds like it would have been a very challenging time for you, and I can honestly say it warmed my heart to read your description of our staff. I agree with you and it is always nice to hear this feedback from patients such as yourself.

I will share your compliment and gratitude with staff here – I am sure they will enjoying reading your thanks as much as I did.

All the best for your family.
