"Smooth patient transfer and care"

I couldn’t be more impressed with my experience at Myrtleford. I was only in overnight because I was transferred there because there wasn’t any beds at Albury. I also had another experience at Bright, I had a couple of procedures at Wangaratta and I couldn’t stay there and I went to Bright and I was so impressed with the services and the people I came in contact with, even the surgical team.

I know all of the hospitals are under pressure, but I found they were all so caring, even the people who bring the meals. I believe the Wangaratta staff try to lift the mood for you in case you’re feeling the pressure before going in to surgery. I was overall impressed and I was well looked after. I can’t comment on how the hospitals are run overall, I can only relate it to how my experience was. I felt really well looked after.

I believe the bigger hospitals also look after you, I live alone so they looked after me by sending me to the smaller hospitals for the overnight stay when they didn’t have enough beds. Wangaratta provides a car to transfer you to the hospital. The car driver was great. I was transferred by ambulance from Albury to Myterlford and they were wonderful as well. I felt they really look after you.
