"Visit to ED in Kalgoorlie with 3.5 yo"

About: Kalgoorlie Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

Took Miss 3.5 yo to Kalgoorlie ED following a head first fall down limestone steps at daycare. She hit her forehead quite hard and was initially showing signs of concussion. Triaged immediately and only waited 5 minutes to be seen by nurses and doctor. The care taken by nurse Elle, and doctors Deborah and cannot remember paediatricians name (sorry!) were second to none - caring, knowledgeable and reassuring. They all took time to care for my daughter (and her bloody head) and reassure a stressed mummy. Excellent care and we were lucky that the head injury was not serious.

Dear irregularitynj87

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your experience. It is wonderful to hear that the team not only looked after your daughter but her mum too! It really does give our staff a buzz to know they have made a difference.

I will make sure this feedback in passed onto the ED team and nurses Deborah and Elle as well as the paediatric team.

I hope that Miss 3.5 is well and truly on the mend now.

Kind regards Alicia
