"Emergency care and operation"

About: Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I was visiting from the US not knowing what was to come or end up in my last week of my stay.

I ended up coming to the emergency with horrible  pain in my Abdomen ... come to find out I had a kidney stone lodged in part of my urinary tracks this caused such a pain and discomfort but after coming to the emergency  a sweet lady check me right in. An Emergency Doctor gave me pain medications Which released my Excruciating Pain.

Great care during my stay From the triage Nurse all the way to operation staff.

The day shift nurses and night shift nurses are so caring and warm harted people. I felt like I was in a family environment the whole stay. They are awesome professional and hard working people, in my opinion.

Doctors came with solutions and pushed for a expedient Surgery which usually you need to wait much longer

I was pleasantly surprised with their attitude and trying to help a hurting desperate Patient.

Operating personnel and anesthesiologist personnel was top notch I couldn't expect more and I'm very pleased you have such great people working in your hospital to my surprise waking up from the anesthesia there was a Sweet and very Professional Nurse lady that actually was from my Hometown in USA . Go figure she was from Portland Oregon. I'm so glad she could come and help.

I thank you all from the bottom of my heart and want to tell you that this is one of my Best expense I've ever had in any hospitals in the world.

Chloe one of the office payment lady help me with proper papers and payment plans available as we were in a difficult situation as a non citizen.

I wish you all well, health and blessings

I feel this a great example for the community and Perth Australia

God bless You all

Best Regards

Dear indusqk93

I was sorry to hear that you developed severe abdominal pain during your last week in Australia, which required accessing emergency health care and a hospital admission.

Thank you for taking the time to tell us about your very positive experience as an overseas patient at Sir Charles Gairdner Hospital.

I was delighted to hear you describe your stay with us as one of the best experiences you have ever had in any hospital in the world. I am extremely proud of the care and commitment provided by staff, and I know they will be touched and honoured to hear that their care has made such a difference to you.

It will be my pleasure to share your thanks and appreciation with all the relevant staff involved including Chloe and the nurse from your hometown in Oregon.

I do hope you have recovered well from your surgery and wish you all the best for the future.

Warm regards

Jodi Graham
