I recently saw the high risk clinic at Bunbury hospital. My appointment was booked for 3.30 but I didnt get seen until well after that. I have a toddler who was running around and I was trying to occupy, and that I was worried would be bothering others waiting.
A lovely midwife gave him and another child in the waiting room a balloon, something that you think is so small but wow, what a difference to my life that made. This midwife also made me a cup of tea while I waited and I saw her get others cups of water.
I would like to thank the midwife for keeping everyone aware that they had not been forgotten, and acknowledging our wait. It really made such a difference to my afternoon and I was not stressed or worried and felt like I went into my doctor appointment (who had red hair and was really nice!) feeling happy as I had a happy toddler chasing a balloon and a lovely cup of tea. It seems something so little but it really meant a lot to me. Please pass on my thanks to the midwife (she had glasses on and red hair to) for my cup of tea and balloon.
