Perhaps I've been lucky as for 60+ years I had never spent a night in hospital (I was born at home in the UK). But if I had to spend a first night then the Eye Hospital was probably the best option - I thought all the staff who I dealt with were terrific. Nurses cared and communicated well - they explained what was happening, showed interest in my status and were all round great examples.
