Visited Katanning ED with my infant child who has been unwell for 2 weeks, vomiting and diarrhoea. we have been unable to get a drs appointment and decided we were worried enough to go to the hospital.
No eating or drinking reduced wet nappies for over a week.
We were seen by the student doctor who told us my child had red inflamed ears and could tell they were unwell and pale.
We waited 4 hours to be seen by the actual Doctor who did not see us and when we asked if we would be seen soon, the Nurses told us to take our child home as they were happy and playing.
We took our child home they vomited again that night and we called every doctors surgery available got an appointment and found they have a double ear infection and throat. We have been given antibiotics.
I believe this could have been done quicker if they had seen us properly and didn't just let us leave.
Also to note, we have an infant child - they will be excited in a new place that doesn't mean they are unwell.
