"My parent's passing"

About: Monash Medical Centre / Emergency Department

(as a relative),

My parent was taken to Monash ED, Clayton at midnight. They had already experienced 2 strokes and this was their third. Their children were very worried about their worsening condition. Our parent was seen to quite quickly and had a CT scan performed. They were then placed in a bed in the ED department and was lying horizontal for the next 24 hours. My parent began to lose their bowel function and speech. I (their child) tried to ask for help and I also wanted to know what was being done, what was the treatment plan? I had no-body in ED speak to me or my parent who became unconscious. At midnight on the following day (24 hours later) treatment was administered in the form of intubation and my parent went to ICU. They died 7 days later. Based on my experience, I felt Monash Medical Centre in Clayton is the worst place to go for help.
