"First baby"

About: Fiona Stanley Hospital / Antenatal Clinic, Birth Suite, Maternal Fetal Assessment Unit, Obstetrics and Gynaecology Unit, Wards 3B, 3C, 3D, 3DO, Visiting Midwife Service

(as the patient),

I started receiving outpatient care early in my 2nd trimester at FSH due to multiple medical conditions. Throughout my pregnancy I received care in the outpatient antenatal MDIP clinic & DIP clinic and MFAU. My labour was induced and my baby was born safely as a forceps assisted delivery due to complications.

During my pregnancy, induction of labour, birth and postpartum period I received an incredible level of care, compassion and support. Being first time parents and having a higher risk pregnancy it was especially reassuring to be looked after by such a great team of health professionals and hospital support staff.

Dear ospreybz77,

Congratulations on the birth of your new baby! I hope you and your family are enjoying these very special Newborn (albeit sleepless!) times.

Thank you for taking the time to share such heartfelt gratitude with the obstetrics and gynaecology team. Please be assured I have shared your post with the Directors of that service, who I am sure will pass on to the teams you have mentioned.

Enjoy your journey ahead!

Warm regards,

Neil Doverty.
