About: Rockingham General Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I have lived in Rockingham for a number of years. During that time, I have found staff at the RGH Emergency Ward, in particular Triage Nurses, are seemingly mocking & dismissive of Plastic Surgery issues. Mutual respect. Simply forward the Ultrasound results to the corresponding Surgeon. I was outrightly refused Medical Treatment in the past. A Hospital letter of apology was received. This time no apologies. Based on my experience, these Nurses are not who I want around in dire times. I wonder did someone miss the Socrates's Oath here? I felt humiliated and degraded on several levels.

Thank you for sharing your experience on your recent attendance to the Emergency Department at Rockingham General Hospital. Please accept my sincere apologies for the distress and feelings of humiliation that you experienced. Please be reassured that I take your feedback seriously, there are a number of aspects of your care that I am extremely concerned to read about. This is not the type of care that we pride ourselves with providing.

I would like the opportunity to better understand and investigate your concerns by directly following up with staff involved in your care. I would be very grateful if you would please contact the Rockingham Peel Group Consumer Liaison Officer on 9599 4623 directly to discuss the issues that you have identified.
