Presented around lunchtime.
Left two hours later as autistic child so agitated and still in waiting room which was exploding with people and completely hectic and although explained to staff, was offered nothing.
Staff called once home and then explained we could represent and ask for a quiet room.
Represented that evening. To be put in quiet room and left.
Some hours later was seen by a junior doctor who couldn’t find notes.
I Found nurse and they had discharged us as couldn’t find us. Even though it was communicated that it was written on our notes we were in family room
Junior doctor looked in throat and explained tonsils weren’t inflamed and throat not red.. ( child had tonsillectomy at age 2, so there are no tonsils)
I felt I’d lost all confidence in said doctors ability to actually assess my child. Who was still in family room with no bed, doctor asked me to hold their mobile phone torch when assessing throat. Very unprofessional, in my opinion.
Meanwhile child was exposed to patient bashing head against wall of room, which scared my child. And an extremely vocal patient stating all the details of their previous sexual assault.
Patients lining corridors, icecream container in waiting room floor with spew in it..I had to ask for a urine bottle as child can’t walk.. it was then left on the family room floor.. couldn’t find staff for help, ambulance officer actually got the bottle for us.
Not satisfied with junior doctors lack of assessment.
Child coughing, no other investigations done except X-ray of legs. In absence of fever. Despite fact I explained child has had fever 4 days.
"Lost all confidence"
