Recently I took my 3yo son up to the hospital after he had been struggling with a chesty cough. He had a bad history of chest infections as well as whooping cough. When we got the hospital he was back his normal self with a little cough. I was concerned the nurses would make me feel like I was a crazy overreacting mum however I was met with nothing but care and understanding when I voiced my concerns. They reassured me I did the right thing by getting him checked out. The nurses were busy with other UCC patients but we were still treated just as important. They called the dr as soon as we got there and the dr was there within 15 minutes. Everyone was so caring and understanding.
