"Not being told the right information whilst PIL was in hospital"

About: Bunbury Hospital / Medical Ward

(as a carer),

My Parent in Law was in hospital with a possible infection associated with the bowel. Had IV antibiotics then got changed to oral.

Not once did the doctor say that PIL had an actual bowel infection. Even upon discharging, I recall we still didn’t get told it was a bowel infection that was also contagious. It wasn’t even written in the discharge papers.

The nurse was coming out to see PIL but rang back to say due to PIL having a bowel infection they couldn’t come out.
