"My before and aftercare of birth"

About: Margaret River Hospital / Maternity Department

(as the patient),

The MGP group was a fantastic experience for my husband and I. We felt completely supported through every step of seeing them. The after care was even more amazing.

The difference of not having it for my first son, born late 2020 was huge! We left in the unknown a lot and this time around we felt like every question was answered and every midwife we came across was lovely and warming.

My only feedback would be that it would have been an even nicer birth experience having a midwife I knew in the room. Having birthed in a different hospital not Margaret river due to a planned caesarean. It was a very overwhelming day and having that one medical support person I was familiar with would have been a huge difference for me.

Dear polarisry37,

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide feedback about your experience with the Margaret River Midwifery Group Practice (MGP), particularly the before and aftercare of your birth. I am thrilled to hear that you and your husband had a fantastic experience and felt completely supported throughout the process.

It's wonderful to know that the aftercare provided by the MGP team was especially amazing for you. I understand how crucial it is to feel informed and supported during such an important time in your life, and I am glad that every question was answered and that the midwives you encountered were lovely and comforting.

I appreciate your suggestion regarding having a midwife you knew in the room during the birth. I understand how having a familiar face during a potentially overwhelming day could have made a significant difference for you. I will take this feedback into consideration and strive to improve our services to provide an even more personalized and comforting birth experience for our patients.

Once again, thank you for choosing Margaret River MGP for your pre and post-natal maternity care, and I wish you and your growing family all the best. If you have any further feedback or questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to me.

Your kind words and insights are incredibly valuable to us as we continuously strive to improve our services and provide exceptional care to all our patients.

Thank you for bringing up the suggestion of having a familiar midwife present during the birth. We understand how this could have made a substantial difference in your birthing experience, and it has sparked important discussions within our team, we have been actively recruiting wonderfully talented midwives to the MR MGP team. While we cannot always guarantee the availability of a specific midwife during labour, we are actively exploring ways to enhance continuity of care and provide opportunities for expectant parents to build deeper connections with our team members throughout their pregnancy journey.

We are committed to refining our services and ensuring that each expectant parent feels supported, comfortable, and empowered during this transformative time.
