Please clean equipment between patients... I believe that's the correct infection control measure.
I was in e.d waiting room for 6 hours.
Not once, Not once, did I see any staff clean any equipment on observation machine. Blood pressure cuffs, pulse oximeter. Nothing. Off one person, on you the next. Not wipe down of equipment. I recall there rarely being hand hygiene in between too.
Based on my experience, please audit.
In my opinion, there is room for improvement Peninsula Health. Please endeavour to improve.
