I went into ED at Broome hospital with my 6 year old son who was having trouble with his breathing. I was hoping to get a Dr to listen to his lungs and hopefully be told to go home and rest.
Unfortunately my son needed to be admitted and we were told that he needed oxygen tubes and cannula put in place. My son had a fear of anyone poking and prodding him or getting too close to him. Dr Alex took the time to explain to my son what he was going to do with the cannula and why it was important. My son has never sat still for a needle but this time he was made to feel safe and calm the Dr and nurse got it done without any hassle. Alex you are a legend you’ve really helped my little man through a fear that he had. Thank you so much for taking the time and being so thorough it is greatly appreciated.
