"Overwhelming support"

About: Busselton Health Campus / South West Regional Palliative Care Service – Coastal St John of God Bunbury Hospital

(as the patient),

It started with a visit to the doctors three years ago regarding blood in the urine. Subsequent tests proved to show prostate cancer and bladder. One year of implants, 3 monthly hormone injections. Followed by 9 weeks radiation last year. After 6 months, cancer returned requiring catheter use. After various tests, kidney tubes 2 off and stoma bag to redirect urine + waste. Mid this year confirmed after MRI scan operation not possible. Reference to Palliative care (Cancer on the bone).

All in all, it's been really good. I can't say anything has been bad, other than what's been happening to me. I mean, I’ve had some excellent service. I’m getting all this attention and its all really good. I’m not used to receiving all this attention, everybody has been so kind. It’s really quite overwhelming.
