"Care in the Emergency Department"

About: Broome Health Campus / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

Recently late in the night, I rang ED with an extremely sore mouth after having 2 teeth removed few days previously. The staff who answered the phone were very pleasant, she discussed with me a couple of options and said I was welcome to come in and see the doctor, however there could be a wait.

As the pain was so severe I decided to attend the department, when arriving almost straight away the triage nurse assessed me and the clerk updated my health records. We didn't wait long, during this time the nurse kept us updated, when she noticed my pain level had increased, she spoke to the doctor and gave extra pain relief.

I felt the Doctor was extremely good, explaining I would need to contact the dentist in the morning, he prescribed antibiotics and different pain relief. We would have been there about an hour and a half, the help and care received was amazing, staff I saw were so friendly, kind and helpful 😀. When we left we commented that staff had addressed our concerns. 

My experience at the Emergency department at Broome hospital was fantastic, thanks to the Staff on that night. Thank you
