I recently gave birth to my first child (home birth with CMP South) and had an incredible experience with Amanda as my midwife, so I just wanted to pass the positive feedback along.

I felt that Amanda provided exceptional care, education and support to myself and my husband during my pregnancy. During our appointments she explained things clearly and made us feel confident leading up to our daughter's birth. 

My husband picked up the birth pool when I was 37w4d and I went into labour that night! Our baby came sooner than we expected and my labour was much faster than I had anticipated. When I was in labour Amanda was calm and reassuring—she gave me the confidence I needed for my first labour and made the whole experience empowering. Amanda went above and beyond during my post partum care and even provided support to me when I had questions about my recovery outside of the 4 week period.

Overall, I feel Amanda is an asset to the CMP and we are so grateful to have had her as our midwife.

Congratulations once again on the birth of your daughter! I note from your more recent post on Care Opinion how positively your whole pregnancy and birth journey have been influenced by the care you received from the Women & Newborn Health Service (WNHS). It is truly gratifying to know that the dedication and support of all our services is there when our patients need them most.

I’m so pleased to see that you were able to get the birthing pool you had planned for in time, even if it was required a little sooner than anticipated.

At WNHS, we strive to ensure that the experiences of all our patients are the best they possibly can be. Having such a dedicated and caring midwife to support you and your family through this very special time clearly provided this experience for you. I will ensure that Amanda is made aware of your feedback about how she went above and beyond in providing such calm and reassuring care.
