"Rehabilitation in the home – Joondalup"

Joondalup’s rehabilitation in the home is a wonderful service, it’s fantastic. When Nick rang, he was my weekend physio and then Kim rang me and I’ve seen her 3 times. I was sitting at home on my own with a total knee replacement and I didn’t know what to do, I was totally out of it. I needed someone to talk to when first Nick turned up and then Kim and it was really terrific. It’s a wonderful service for people, it sets you on the right track. I couldn’t do one of the exercises because I can’t do it lying down and Kim showed me how to do it sitting up, which was really good and the alternative is I can’t do the exercise.

We are very much moving away from person to person contact as everything is online now. I love that this service is face to face. I come home by myself with no one to talk to and so to have someone professional come in, and also are very nice people, and to be able to have a nice conversation I was so pleased. It is such a welcomed service!
