I was feeling extremely fatigued, no motivation and was at the point of not wanting to get out of bed for my family and young children. I had experienced fever of 40’c + over the weekend and chills which caused muscle soreness. With no appetite for 5 days I was extremely flat. My chest hurt and my breathing was wheezing. I presented to UCC and was referred to VVED. I had no temperature and my lungs were clear and provided with a script for antibiotics. I went home and slept the day and night.
The next morning I woke with an SVT that I could not get under control. I presented to UCC at approximately 6:30am. The staff that were on duty promptly provided me with the most valuable care. The on duty Dr was called and quickly treated my SVT via IV and arranged for mica and ambulance transfer to a medical facility where specialists could provide more care. I can not fault the team I saw at Yarrawonga Health who promptly provided treatment, reassurance and care when I needed them.
