First of all, I hate that I have to do this and as I hold a huge respect for all people that work for a living but this is my parent and there is a limit to how much I'm willing to accept how badly they’re treated or even my parent’s repeated attempts to just get me to move on and let it go as they are a good person who doesn't want anyone to get in trouble.
My parent, who is of a fragile mindset was left in a hospital bed for around 4 hours, without anyone (my other parent wasn't allowed in), or anything (crocheting, phone, etc.), but their own tears as they anxiously waited for the staff at Busselton Hospital to hurry up and do this already traumatizing procedure (which required anaesthetic), so my parent could put it behind them and continue with their life.
I feel this is a pathetic excuse for medical service and I could write plenty of choice words but I want to keep this as constructive as possible. I was going to lodge a complaint about this but as my parent truly wants to keep their anonymity and have nothing to do with any criticisms or get anyone into trouble, that is pretty much impossible, so I write this to give me some semblance of satisfaction of calling out the staff that put my parent through this. The only positive thing about this whole situation was there were some "lovely" (my parent's opinion) nurses who treated my parent with care, but in my eyes, this is still a completely unacceptable way to provide care. To the people responsible for this, in my opinion, I hope you're proud of yourselves.
"My parent"
