"Inappropriate staff allocation to cleaning support"

(as a relative),

My relative has a My Aged Care package and receives cleaning supports at their home fortnightly through Alpine Health Home Care. Recently a worker attended a cleaning support with a visible injury and reportedly in some pain.  

As a manager for a disability support company, I feel it’s appropriate to provide this information. I believe either your staff member is not sharing information about their health that could place you at risk of a work cover claim or staff are being allocated inappropriately to supports they are unfit for.

Thank you for your feedback and concerns of both our staff member and organisation. We provide a supportive environment that encourages staff to work safely by identifying any concerns or injuries with their supervisor. We will review this with our staff member to understand the need of adjustments to their tasks.
