(as a relative),

The after care given by the nurses on the surgical ward at Bunbury hospital for our 94 year old father/grandfather following surgery for a broken hip after a fall was superb. The nurses were professional, friendly and always willing to assist to help dad to recover without complications.

Mum was also admitted to the Sub Acute Rehab at the same time with other health issues. Mum suffered a major stroke and only had a few days to live. After a request from the family the coordinators in both areas arranged for mum and dad to share a room downstairs. They were both together and holding hands, surrounded by family when mom passed a few days later.

Our families would like to thank all the nurses, doctors, coordinators and other staff for the care and compassion shown for our parents. 

We cannot recommend the Bunbury Regional staff highly enough for their care and genuine concerm.

Dear bargaingg49,

I would like to thank you on behalf of myself (ANUM of the Surgical Ward) and Tara (CNM of the Sub Acute Rehab Ward) for your thanks and appreciation of the work done by the staff, in both areas, to accommodate your family's needs while both parents were in hospital. I am pleased that both your Mum and Dad were able to be together, in your Mum's last days.

I shall be sure to let the staff in both areas know of the acknowledgement of the professionalism and care displayed by all of the caregivers.

I do hope that your Dad is continuing to improve.
