I like to say at very outset that my time spent at Logan House has evolved as being a very memorable experience.
Initially I was to say the very least apprehensive. To put myself into a facility that would effectively cut me off from my know world was very daunting.
What necessitated this step was an addiction to alcohol.
The initial intention was to spend the specified six weeks and as quickly as possible discard any memory of the time spent. I however have spent more than that time and will be leaving retaining knowledge and great memories.
I was greeted warmly by other clients and facilitators. The knowledge imparted has become a lifelong acquisition. The tools were provided that would facilitate recovery and maintenance of that recovery.
What can't be neglected is the role interaction with other clients has had. It all became part of the recovery process. Different journeys and stories; great facilitators all contributed towards a positive and memorable outcome.
