"My time at Logan House"

About: Lives Lived Well - Logan House

(as a service user),

I like to say at very outset that my time spent at Logan House has evolved as being a very memorable experience.

Initially I was to say the very least apprehensive. To put myself into a facility that would effectively cut me off from my know world was very daunting.

What necessitated this step was an addiction to alcohol.

The initial intention was to spend the specified six weeks and as quickly as possible discard any memory of the time spent. I however have spent more than that time and will be leaving retaining knowledge and great memories.

I was greeted warmly by other clients and facilitators. The knowledge imparted has become a lifelong acquisition. The tools were provided that would facilitate recovery and maintenance of that recovery.

What can't be neglected is the role interaction with other clients has had. It all became part of the recovery process. Different journeys and stories; great facilitators all contributed towards a positive and memorable outcome.

Dear Memorable,

Your reflection on your time at Logan House is truly moving, and your journey towards recovery is commendable. It's evident that your experience has been transformative, and your words capture the profound impact this period has had on your life.

The courage it takes to acknowledge and address problematic behaviours is significant, and your willingness to share your apprehension initially is relatable to many. It's clear that, despite the initial reservations, your time at Logan House has become more than just a temporary intervention but a life-altering experience.

Your mention of being warmly greeted by fellow clients and facilitators speaks volumes about the supportive community at Logan House. The fact that you not only gained valuable knowledge but also developed tools for recovery and maintenance underscores the holistic approach taken in the program.

The acknowledgement of the role played by interactions with other clients in the recovery process is great to hear. Different journeys and stories coming together to contribute to a positive and memorable outcome emphasise the power of shared experiences and communal support.

As you prepare to leave with not just memories but lifelong acquisitions, may the knowledge and tools you've gained continue to guide you on your journey of recovery. Your story is sure to inspire others who may be facing similar challenges.

Wishing you continued success, strength, and fulfilment in your ongoing recovery journey.

Regards,

Craig
