Mum went into respite care at Brookview Aged Care facility in Northampton (regional WA) in mid 2021 but chose to stay on. I can't speak highly enough of the exceptionally loving and respectful care she has received from all staff I've seen in this small residential facility, also the regular visits from her lovely GP Margot. Although Mum's dementia is progressing rapidly and she barely speaks now, I know she is happy at BV which is a great relief to me as I feel so often we hear of aged care facility horror stories and I live 7 hours drive away so cannot visit more than monthly to keep a closer eye on her. Fortunately I don't need to - Mum is always clean and well dressed, well fed and engaged/stimulated by each and every staff member I've seen at BV.
