My partner and I attended the Positive Birth Program which is offered by Esperance Hospital midwives and hosted by Skye for the weekend. Long story short this program offered across WACHS for free is simply amazing! We learnt so much about ourselves, birthing and how to inform and best prepare ourselves for our special day when the time comes. Walking away from the course we both felt more bonded to each other and our baby and more confident in birthing at our local facility! Skye was incredibly knowledgeable as with all the midwives I’ve come across so far but her confidence and care has to be noted, thank you Skye and WACHS for endorsing this program and making us accessible to our community!

Thank you for your positive feedback! We are very lucky to have a great team of Midwives at Esperance Health Campus. Our team were selected as finalists in the WA Health Excellence Awards 2023 for their excellence in Person Centre Care.

I have forwarded your feedback on to Skye and the Midwifery team, who I know enjoy running the Positive Birth Program and being part of preparing you and your partner in what is such a special time for your families.

We are very fortunate to be able to provide a free Positive Birth Program to our community, and it is great to hear the positive impact it is having.
