"Amazing people"

About: Geraldton Hospital / Emergency Department

(as a parent/guardian),

After 3 visits to a gp over as many days I took my 17 yr old to ED  as her symptoms worsened, she presented with extreme symptoms in my mind and from the onset we had nothing but the best of care under extremely trying circumstances that the staff nurses and doctors endure day in and day out. All under the pump we had great care from all nurses one senior nurse so on her job and diagnoses spot on. We were never made to feel we shouldn’t have been there as there were others in more need than us. I thank them for being so caring and informative and being there for all of us in need. Amazing people.

Dear puppisqy78,

Thank you for taking the time to share your lovely feedback with us.

I’m sure you were very concerned with your daughter’s symptoms and her difficulty in identifying what was wrong. It was very heartening to read how well the team in ED worked together to provide a thorough investigation and diagnosis to enable treatment to begin. All delivered in a compassionate and welcoming manner. I will ensure the team are rightly acknowledged for their high standards looking after our community.

I do hope your daughter is feeling better now.

Regards

Rhonda Millar
