"Complaint"

About: Mount Beauty Hospital

(as a parent/guardian),

I was very disappointed and angry, when I arrived at the Mt Beauty hosptial and my child was refused care while having a broken leg.

My family and I attended the play ground near the Library when my child and I went together down the slide. My child must have got stuck on the slide and twisted their leg. We thought it was just something small and gave them a 5 min break from running around. After around 10min I tried standing them up as soon as they put their foot down they screamed. We decided to attend the medical place and called but they told us to go straight to the hospital what we did.

I had my child in my arms and we all walked in when we got stopped by the receptionist to have a medical procedure (MP) done. The receptionist told us we need to have this. I told them I will not have a MP, I'm here to get my child seen. I recall they then told me to leave the hospital.

I then asked them so you refusing my child treatment. I recall they told me to leaver if I don't have a MP. I then for sure got angry and left.

We then had to drive to Wodonga 1.15hr to get my child to the ED. They were in pain and are only a toddler. It turned out they had a toddler fracture.

I think this is a disgrace.
