"My throat cancer"

About: Patient Assisted Travel Scheme - WACHS Midwest

(as a service user),

I had radiation for a small tumour in 2019.

In 2022 I had lost my voice and was experiencing soreness in my throat and my neck started to swell

I was flown to Perth by RFDS and admitted into ENT at Sir Charles gardener hospital. After 2 days I returned to Carnarvon

Aditi at  Pat's in Carnarvon was  marvelous in organising my return. From  then on Aditi responded to all my admissions to Charlie's with a very prompt and professional manner. In May of last year I had a total laryngectomy and can no longer speak. Aditi had been marvelous in establishing email communication in arranging my flights to Charlie's for follow up treatment

Based on my experience, I cannot fault the service that Carnarvon Pats and Aditi provide .

Dear McNish 17

Thank you for taking to Care Opinion to share your experience with Adi and Carnarvon PATS.

I felt very proud to read your description of the support that Adi has provided you. She is a long standing and valued member of the PATS team. The impact she has had on the Carnarvon community since she moved there is wonderful to see and evidenced by the numerous compliments we’ve received, just like yours.

I have shared your feedback with Adi and added my sincere gratitude of the compassionate service she provides our community each and every day.

I wish you well in your ongoing treatment.

Regards

Karen Street
