I was sent to ED by my GP to commence treatment for a pulmonary embolism. Office staff and nursing staff were very caring and understanding. I felt the Dr was rude and didn't seem to care. I was in the ED for 5 hours believing I was to be admitted as my GP had requested. In that time I saw the ED Dr twice. Second time they advised I was being sent home, before I had even started treatment. I was told I would be fine to drive home even after the pain relief I had been given. The DR then gave me a script and I was discharged bring advised I could take endo, and ibuprofen with the prescribed blood thinners.
Arriving at the pharmacy, I was told the script could not be filled as the Dr have not provided their provider number, and the medication prescribed did not come in the prescribed amount. I was then forced back to the ED to have this fixed. I was also then given a referral for a follow up scan in 2 months. Back at the chemist I was able to receive my medication but was advised under no circumstances to take ibuprofen yet the dr advised me I could! When I went to book in for my follow-up scan, I am unable to because the Dr failed to sign the referral or provide their provider number. When I rang the ED I was advised that a new referral would be sent electronically to Bendigo Radiology. Recently I rang them and advised no it hasn't been received.
