I was arrested and put in jail.for a month, for possession of 8 oz of meth. I was released on Supreme Court Bail and still awaiting sentencing. 1 bail condition was to attend a day rehab at least. I went along to Lives Lived Well already 4 mths clean and so glad I did. The education and insight into myself they provided through logic was incredible.
I found it was in no way shape or form intrusive and the facilitators were so down to earth, understanding and non judgemental.
I recall they were firm in their instruction when they needed to be for the benefit of everyone else in the group if someone went way off track when talking to everyone.
I attended every session and looked forward to the next wondering what I was going to learn.
I felt very comfortable knowing the other attendees were on the same journey not necessarily at the same point but on the same journey so there was an instant respect for each other, it was just so nice.
I felt a little nervous before the first session but after that initial first session there were no nervousness before going, I was excited to be going.
I found the delivery of the information to us was great, a mix of handouts, role-play and videos, at anytime we were free to ask questions.
I recommend and will continue to recommend anyone I know that will benefit from group. In fact I strongly believe the teachings should be compulsory in schools, everything is so logical but I feel we are not afforded the benefit of learning and piecing it all together until we already have a major problem in our life.
I felt the facilitators Ruth, Liam and Sam were good.
