"Family member admission"

About: Myrtleford Hospital / Acute Care

(as a relative),

My dad was admitted to Myrtleford Acute mid last year for an infection after having treatment for his cancer in Melbourne. He was eventually transferred to RMH for further management by his specialists but it was comforting to have him initially treated locally, the standish street and alpine health staff were so accommodating, attentive and lovely. Big thank you to nurse Lauren for taking the time to listen to a daughter (me) who was frazzled and stressed, and listening to my concerns. Being treated locally is something that I feel we take for granted, but I think is also so vital to our community. Keep up the fantastic work!

Dear cricketcp89,

Thank you for your feedback regarding the care your Dad received last year.

Local access to care is vital to our community and I am glad we were able to look after your Dad until he needed to go to Melbourne, and the care he received was attentive, accommodating, and lovely. I will pass on your kind words to the staff, and GP's and to Lauren for listening to your concerns.

Best wishes,

Lisa Townsend
