I have been up to ED quite a few times recently due to a medical problem that has caused a great deal of concern and pain. Every single time I feel I have been treated with respect and care except for this particular time. I felt the Doctor didn't listen to me and didn't believe that I had a MRI and I found they were very rude and pompus and i was to feel that i had no reason to be there at all. I would hate for anyone else to feel like this and it has made me feel reluctant to go back again.

Thank you for taking the time to share your experience on Care Opinion. We are sorry to hear that you have been spending so much time in our ED and disconcerted to read that your latest presentation left you feeling unheard and not believed. Worse still that the doctor who attended to you was pompous and rude. That is unacceptable and does meet our expectations of our team. We will share your story at our safety huddles so that we can reinforce acceptable behaviours and language.

In the mean time we would strongly encourage you to return to the ED if you are acutely unwell.
