"Dog bite on finger"

About: Sydney / Sydney Eye Hospital / Emergency Department

(as the patient),

I had a dog bite on my finger that I didn't think was very serious. 2 days passed and i realised it needed medical attention. After being passed around from my GP to a private hospital I ended up at the hand hospital emergency ward at Sydney Hospital. While there was a wait I felt it was managed brilliantly from the time I arrived. I found I was informed all the way from checking in through to being discharged. I thought all of the staff were caring and informative in what was a very busy night in ER. I can't thank the team enough

Dear golfxj66

Thank you so much for taking the time to provide this feedback. We will be sure to pass this onto our Emergency Department team and I know they will be very chuffed. I am glad to hear that you received care in a timely way and that you felt cared for despite the business of the department at that time.

I hope your dog bite injury to your finger is on the mend.

Kind regards

Dr Pauline Rumma

Director of Clinical Services
